Statewide Community and Civic Leaders to Kickoff Governor Newsom’s Emergency Preparedness Campaign

California state and local officials will join several community and civic leaders to officially launch the $50 million Emergency Preparedness Campaign to help ready the California communities for disaster.

The event will include remarks from grant recipients, public officials and others. The list of participating counties, as well as, all grant recipients and funding totals for community-based organizations and service and volunteer grantees including CERT, Listos, Fire Safe Councils, AmeriCorps and CCC.

WHO: California Volunteers, California Governor's Office of Emergency Services (CalOES), CERT, Listos, AmeriCorps and others. Program to include a welcome blessing from a representative of Tribal CERT, a spoken word performance, and the many diverse community representatives who have been awarded grants.

WHEN: Tuesday, August 20, at Noon. Arrive and set-up by 11:45am.

WHERE: Sacramento, AKT parking lot  (Corner of K and 15th Street)
