Mad River Hospital is looking for role players for its annual disaster drill on Wednesday, May 23 , from 8:00 PM to 11:30 PM.

Volunteers 18 years and older are wanted to play various parts in the scenario.  In addition to role playing victims, depending on final plans, volunteer roles may be expanded to include other players in such an event, such as media, bystanders, etc.

Mad River Hospital, Humboldt State University Police Department, and Arcata-Mad River Ambulance will conduct a joint disaster exercise which will test their ability to triage, transport, and manage a large number of victims from the scene of a mass casualty incident all the way to the hospital.   The exercise will take place between two locations in the vicinity of Mad River Hospital.
